A message from our principal, Ms. Elizabeth Reilly...
Good morning St. Francis Families,
I cannot believe it! School starts 2 weeks from today! Click the link below for information about arrival/dismissal for the first week of school. We will have everyone meet in the school yard for the first day. Picture taking will be allowed until 8:05. At that time, I do ask that parents step behind the gate to allow the students and teachers to enter and begin their day. On the 2nd day of school, Thursday, September 5th, we will revert to the arrival plan that we used last year:
Dismissal will continue to be in the school yard at the designated times.
Afterschool clubs, and some new afterschool offerings are in the last stages of being finalized. In an attempt not to overwhelm you with information, those details will be sent out in the next few weeks.
We are also working on finalizing the menu for our Lunch Program. I have asked for us to onboard some healthier options for the students and am working on making that happen.
Please take note of the change in our Back to School Night. I am staggering the times so that families with multiple children are able to attend as many meetings as possible, and we will still gather as a school community for updates at 6:45 pm in MCH. Please take note of the day and time, and secure childcare now. I kindly ask that you do not bring students to Back to School night.
Lastly, I know there are classes who have not yet heard from teachers. All teacher assignments will be given out by the end of the week. Please be patient with us as we finalize these lists in an attempt to best serve our students.
I hope everyone enjoys their last few days of summer. School opens on Wednesday, September 4th. We are all looking forward to seeing the children's smiling faces that morning!
