Dear SFACA Families:
HAPPY AND BLESSED NEW YEAR 2024!
As we begin our New Year, I want to wish you and your families a wonderful and a healthy New Year. I hope that you all had a beautiful Christmas and that you had the opportunity to spend time with family and friends creating many memories with your loved ones.
January will be another exciting month here at SFACA. We will have first school Mass of the New Year on January 5th hosted by Grade 5. Please come pray with us as we come together as a school community for our first mass of the year. The third “Breakfast with the Principal” will be held on Tuesday, January 9th for parents and families of grades 6, 7, and 8. A Google form will be sent to your email for parents of those grades requesting what items you would like to be discussed.
I also want to thank you for the generous food cans and coats for the “coat drive” and “can drive” for Marguerite Pantry. Your donations have helped many who are less fortunate than ours.
Our 8th Graders, Class of 2024, will be receiving their High School Notifications on January 10th. We wish all our 8th Graders the best of luck with their decisions. We know you will do fabulous!
School will be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on January 15th holiday. Enjoy the long weekend.
Catholic Schools Week will begin on Sunday, January 28th. Please join us for the 11:00 am Mass. We will have “Open House” from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Come visit the classrooms, meet the teachers and administration and see what our school is all about! Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
Our Hot Lunch Program begins on January 3rd. Please refer to my email regarding how to sign up for this program. It is respectfully requested that your child’s lunch is not being delivered by anyone, except a family member. There are too many deliveries from outside food services and we are trying to keep unnecessary people from entering the school building. Safety is our priority for all our students, faculty, and staff.
A few gentle reminders:
Kindly remember that there should be NO SMOKING on school grounds. Please refrain from smoking near the school and church premises, especially near our students and families. In addition, please be mindful of double parking and blocking the yellow school busses in the front of the school. Our children’s safety is always our priority. Please remember that there should be no running or playing around the church or the steps after dismissal. Thank you for your cooperation.
Ms. Elizabeth Reilly, Faculty, and Staff
