PREPARATION FOR LENT AND THE EASTER SEASON

MARCH  NEWS 2022

Dear SFACA Families:

This month, we will begin the season of Lent as we prepare for the beautiful celebration of Easter. We are also anxiously awaiting for Spring and its beautiful weather and flowers.

The children will be having a prayer service on Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent and will receive ashes to begin this holy season. The children also will be having weekly Stations of the Cross service to remember the journey that Jesus took in His preparation of His death on Good Friday and Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Spring pictures will be held on Thursday, March 10th for all students 3K – 8th grade.

The second trimester will officially end on March 17th and our third and final trimester will begin on March 18th.

It is remarkable that we are now in the last trimester of this academic year. It is of the utmost importance that all students continue to put effort into their studies and prepare for their tests so they make the most progress.

Thank you for helping with our 2022 World Finest Candy Sale! We sold all our boxes of candy. With your continued support, we are able to help our academy attain the things that are needed to make our academy successful. We thank all the students and their families and we appreciate your hard work in making this candy sale so successful.

We will be having an Open House for families of 3K and PreK for All children on Thursday, March 10th from 5:30 – 7:00pm. Please call the office for any additional information you may need. Come meet the wonderful teachers and see their beautifully decorated classrooms. Please come to the main entrance on 46th street and please wear masks.

Please continue to notify the office of any telephone number changes or pertinent information changes to update our office records. Please make sure that voicemail boxes are cleared to leave messages in the event we need to speak with a family member.

PLEASE NOTE: For the safety of everyone, please keep your child home if he or she is not feeling well. We also need to have all COVID screening forms completed on FACTS before 8:00am or a hard copy of the form to be handed to the teacher first thing when entering the classroom. Masks are to be worn at all times when coming in the school building, as well as, when dropping and picking up your child.

At this time, I am wishing you a blessed Lenten season as we prepare for the blessed season of Easter.

Looking forward to a warm Spring ahead!

Sincerely,

Ms. Stefano, Faculty, and Staff
