March 2019 Highlights

March was such a busy month here at SFACA that we couldn’t keep up with our posts. Here are some of the happenings that kept us thriving:

After our Mardi Gras Celebration, 1st Penance, 8th Grade Confirmation, and Girl Scout Sunday were over, our 1st and 2nd graders headed over to Lego Land.


 

Report Cards were then handed out, and we congratulate the following students who obtained Honor Roll and Principal List status: 
Principal’s List: Fiona Hosey, Isabella Kyriakopoulos, Katarina Mijat & Damian Pan
First Honors: Julian Aliperti, Christina Georgeopoulos, Mia Lopez, Justin Broad, John McPartland, Farah Motair, Luisa Schwab, Giana Sheinman, Abigail Vorlicek, Lawrence DiVittorio, Giulia Lombardi & Stephen Zilinski.
Second Honors: Nicolas Liropoulos, Garry Nolan, Julian Visca, Emma McCloskey, Natalie Sabino, Konstantin Todorov, Grace Vano, Jayden Abela, Vincent Costanza III, Isabella Cullinane, Chris Georgeopoulos, Faye Luneau, Gabriella Mateo & Antonio Sarchese.


 

Middle School Oratorical Contest

 

Next up was the Oratorical Contest for our Middle School. A big congratulations to our winner, Mia Lopez from the 8th Grade, who will now represent our school at the Diocesan Oratorical Contest.

 

 

 


 

SFACA Middle Grades Math Bee Winner

 

 

Our Middle Grades held their Math Bee too and George Kyriakopoulos, Grade 4, was our winner, Isabella Marzella, Grade 4, was the runner-up. George went on to compete in the Regional Math Bee. We are so proud of these students!

Last but not least, March ended with our Middle School being treated to an amazing and informative visit from Holocaust survivor, Ms. Felice Katz …

 

 

 


Our 4th Grade Class on Nephrotic Syndrome Awareness Day

 

 

…and our school held a green dress down day on
World Nephrotic Syndrome Awareness Day to benefit NephCure on behalf of student Georgie K and raised over $1200. We are so proud of our SFACA students and families for their generosity of spirit! #SFACAFamilyStrong
