Help Joe Seal & Heal!

On Tuesday & Wednesday, April 9th & 10th during gym classes. SFACA will particpate in a fundriaser for Joseph LaMicela.

Mr. Joseph La Micela and family belong to our SFACA family. Joe is in a fight for his life. At this time he is in need of financial help to continue his on-going treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Joe is stricken with a life-altering and potentially life-threatening rare condition in which cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks are spontaneously occurring throughout his spine.  CSF is the fluid that cushions and supports the brain and spine. Joe has been unable to work for over a year and is facing many more months of debilitating symptoms and excruciating pain.

Joe’s goal is to become “sealed and healed” at Cedars-Sinai and return home to reunite with his family and friends in New York City.

Joe is an avid runner who participates in NYRR club & charity races and the NYC Marathon. SFACA will be  devoting 2 days worth of gym classes to NYRR-related activities .

STUDENTS WILL WEAR THEIR NYRR RISING KIDS T-SHIRT with their GYM UNIFORM BOTTOMS to School on their GYM DAY and send in their donations.

We ask that they be as generous as their means allow and thank them for their support!
