VIRTUS: Protecting God’s Children for Adults
is a child safety program which helps parishes create child-safe environments and empowers caring adults to protect children by making adults more aware of the ways children and adults interact with each other.
This course is mandatory for all adults who work/volunteer in the Church/Academy. For your convenience we will be offering it here at St. Francis of Assisi.

There will be a RED Dress Down Day on Friday, October 26, 2018 to Celebrate Red Ribbon Week and promote health and wellness for our children.
Please come and enjoy our Scholastic Book Fair on Wednesday, October 24th and Thursday, October 25th. Parents of students in Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten will be able to visit the Book Fair from 8:15am-9:30am. Your child will remain in c.ass and not visit the Book Fair. Students in grades Kindergarten through 8th will follow the schedule below. Parents of students in grade K-8 are welcome to meet and shop with their child. World Food Day is celebrated each year on October 16th to promote worldwide awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger and for the need to ensure food security and nutritious diets for all. Events are organized in over 130 countries across the world, making it one of the most celebrated days of the UN calendar.
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy is hosting a Canned Food Collection ONE DAY ONLY!
The SFACA Student Council asks that families donate one can of food per student to support this cause.

The students will take part in relay races and other sports related activities. Water and snacks will be available to help keep energy levels high. A Burger King lunch will be offered.
